My bad and good trip to Park City

On Saturday afternoon I headed to Park City to start my quik getaway. Once arriving in Provo I got to stop and see one of my favorite families that moved to Idaho Falls and was in Provo visiting. So my trip started out very pleasant. When I got done visiting I decided to make my way through provo canyon and to park city to visit Brianna. The problem started when 5 miles up the canyon I lost the transmission in my ever so trustworthy mini van. I then realized that maybe this trip was not going to be worth it. So the first group of pictures you will find us wasting time for 2 HOURS on the side of the road. Atleast the car would still run so we didn't freeze our butts off.

The whole reason for my trip definitly paid off tonight. Since Brianna's employers have the HOOK UP in Park City we started our evening by attending a dinner called Chef Dance. It is the top 10 up and coming chefs in the world that come and cook for you. After reviewing the menu the night before we were very happy to be going on the night that we did. Nothing to crazy like the night they served pork belly GROSS! Our chef made Scallops which was crazy enough for me, however how can you be rude and not try them. They were good. We then got mashed potatoes with short ribs on top. DELISH! Followed by the dessert which was corn cake and coconut ice cream. Very good as well. I failed to mention the best part. Our appetizer was guacamole, not just any guac either, the best guac I have EVER had. It was strange to eat so fancy and have it come in courses but an experiance I will remember. Plus on the table we got gifts for coming. A $250 spa gift card that I can't even enjoy since it had to be used this week and I am in St. George not PC. (Have fun Brianna) We also got a hundred dollar gift card to the gerber group which is apparently owners of bars and some W hotels. Neither of which we will use so we gave them to our friends we met sitting next to us. The one thing that an be used is a T-Shirt. Who can't use a new T-shirt to lounge around in.

After leaving the dinner we made our way across the street to Paris Hilton's party. It was very surreal. It took me a minute to even realize it really was her sitting at the same table as our group. We were very scared to ask for a picture but once we got coaxed into it she was so nice and friendly. I also think she looks so much better than the photos you see on the magazines. She was there promoting her new movie called The Hottie and The Nottie. Set to be released the first week of February. We told her we would be seeing it for sure since we now have to be her biggest fans! The girl and guy with her our in the film as well. We saw her sister there but it was not as easy to get her picture. I guess she was just there for support not for star struck people like ourselves. I am not ashamed Paris is Da Bomb!

On Monday morning it was time to head home. Seems how I didn't have a car my wonderful and amazing husband came to my rescue and picked us up. We had time to let the kids play in the snow though, which was fun for Frankie and Whitney, it was both there first times. Frankie really wanted to build a snowman but wasn't able to since it is like 3 feet of powder. You can tell how much snow they have in the picture where it comes to Whitney's thighs!
Now that the weekend is past I can say the good took over the bad and I am glad to be home. All though I could have stayed a few more days to look for the celebrities and use my spa day!

Another Love (for the moment)

If any of you were to come to my house at any given moment you would surely find clean laundry piled on my bed which was moved to the floor at bed time. I never liked laundry. You would also find dirty laundry piling up in my closest. Thinking back I have never had a laundry room just a samll space barely big enough for a washer and dryer. So when building this house I had outlets put in the garage for a washer and dryer since my Frank's clothes are always so full of red dust, cement, and morter. The idea was to get a new washer and dryer for the nice laundry room with a hanging rod and a folding table. Close to two years later I realized the new washer and dryer was clearly a dream and encouraged Frank (against his will) to move the old machines inside. What an amazing thing to have a laundry room. I have not had a pile of clothes on my floor and the laundry baskets are no longer overflowing. I never imagined how nice it was to put the laundry away directly out of the dryer. Even Makaela's laundry she has been folding hers for years. No longer. I feel like a new person like the housewife I am suppose to be. Now I just have to focus on the rest of my house and I think the next time we build the laundry room just might be the biggest room in the house.

Something I am currently obsessed with

I have always wanted a deep fryer, and thanks to my wonderful sister I finally got one, for christmas. I have to say I am not even sure I can remember how long I have wanted a deep fryer. I was always told no by my husband because they are so bad for you and everytime I looked at them I kind of felt guilty for wanting one. Well guilt is gone and I now know why I always wanted the wonderful machine that is sure to add a good 5-10 pounds probably to my back side. Since christmas I can honestly admit I have used it 8-10 times, chicken sandwiches (a couple of times), chimichangas, burritos, jalepeno poppers, scones, taquitos. Maybe I should be from the south since I have such a fine craving for fried food. I am hoping that since I have tried so many things the excitement might start to wear off. It is just oh so convenient and fast. No mess and no dishes. Two things I really despise. So if the next time you see me I have gained a few extra pounds you can't say I didn't warn you and just remind me where it is coming from incase of my deep fryer daze.
