So the point of this post is the outfit that Frankie is wearing in the above picture. I am sure you all notice how well it matches. I have been dealing with him wanting to pick out his own clothes the last few days and he wants to wear what he wants to wear if not it is a huge tantrum. Sounds like something a girl would do. So for the last few days he has worn a spider-man shirt, he has four, however two of them are pajama tops and he still wears them as eveyday clothing. Although my mom brought him a new one on Friday and he wore it that night and Saturday. Come Sunday morning he wanted the same one again. Who cares if it has a dirt and food all over it. I finally made him understand that dirty things have to be washed. Now everything is dirty to him. So after that drama he found another spider-man shirt. I tried to put his blue shorts on with it but he wasn't having it, the pajama pants with dino's and monster trucks are way better. I let him wear it all day. To Home Depot and all. Is that bad? I kinda felt silly but then I figured, who cares. Today he is wearing pajamas again but this time they're not spider-man they're motorcross racing, but it is long pants and long sleeves. HOT! Any suggestions on how to get him back to letting me be the one to pick out his clothes or should I just let him be his independent self?

Tough one, I personally go in my pajamas to a lot of places, I don't know why it does not bother me, I really don't care, and it is comfortable. Maybe you can give him like 2 days a week to wear whatever he wants, like reward days if he is good, then the other days you are in charge of what he is wearing. I don't know that is a tough situation. I don't have kids, so I am not the best at this. He is a kid though, but maybe you tell him he can't come unless he wears something besides his pajamas, and tell him someone is going to babysit him that he doesn't like unless he changes, then maybe he will get dressed!
I dont' really know, I should not have even commented! That is really funny though, he is so cute!
I seriously don't care if he wears his pajamas, but he should at least match right? I think it is pretty cute though that he picks out his clothes, I don't know he is funny and I think every kid goes through it at some point.
I have learned to buy only bottoms that can go with anything. The rest, I dont care about. that way at least they match. Pajamas are a different matter, entirely. My kids know that I will let them choose what ever they want to wear, except pajamas and unless we are going somewhere like a wedding or church, then I get to choose. IT SUCKS! The other day Tanner wore SNOW BOOTS with a pair of denim shorts and an athletic tank top style shirt. So BAD! People all over town were laughing. But, I got a lot of great remarks. I have learned that if my kids are gonna be looking totally ridiculous, I just have to look presentable all the time so people dont think were quite as WT! But, the truth is, we are.......
haha! I was laughing so hard at that story because I can totally see him throwing a fit. He is SO cute. I get to see him in 4 days!
I just busted a gut over here (in the middle of nowhere). I think that is the funniest thing I've heard in a bit! It might top the stank 4some!
Haha, Frankie is freakin awesome! My say: who the freak cares? Let him wear what he wants, he'll lose interest in havnign an opinion about what he wears soon enough. Try this; set out like 2 or 3 tops and bottoms (that you think would all go together) then let him pick whatever shirt from the 3 and whatever pants from the 3 or however many you think). This way he thinks he is picking and he thinks he gets to make the actual decision.
Oh and ps, what is the whole "not good at saving money" bit?? This thing was WAAAAAYYYYYYYY off! You would never spend money! Especially on clothes, cinnamon rolls, enormous nachos....Hmm.
Yeah

LOL too freaking funny, our boys really need to get together. I say let him do it as hard and as cute as it may look, it is so good for them to be able to makes choices on their own. I am not a fun of all Kenton's choices but oh well :) Sometimes I will pick out a few and let him pick of the pile, although this doesn't ALWAYS work :)
So you are going to think I'm a freakin' weirdo because I don't know if you even remember me but you used to live by me back in the day. I'm Alli (Ence)....you might remember Eric. Funny but I remember doing that "Light as a feather stiff as a board" and "Annie" with you and some other people at Shari's house way back in the day! Well I was blog surfing and found Joanna's blog and saw your name on it so I thought I'd check out yours too! Your kids are adorable. Anyways I saw you mention that she should go to Doctor Peterson and that's totally who I go to. He has delivered both of my babies and I LOVE him. He is FAB for sure! I think my sister (Laurie) told me that you used to work for him. When did you quit? That would have been funny if I would have gone and you just happened to be his handy little helper! Well it looks like you're doing good. This is super long so I'll go. Don't think I'm CRAZY! I just wanted to say hi!
