BRING ON THE PUMPKIN

I have been ready for fall for a few weeks now and I will admit that I have jumped the gun a little bit and already done a few things. I guess in hope that Fall will arrive sooner. I started burning my pumpkin oil about two weeks ago, yep it sure was still August and over 100 degrees outside. I also have sweet cinnamon pumkin wallflowers in my outlets and a hobb;e creek pumpkin spice candle burning. If you haven't already tried bath and body works home scents they have two pumpkin flavors, just pumpkin which you see above and sweet cinnamon pumpkin. They are my Favs but they also have spiced cider, cinnamon vanilla, creamy nutmeg and a fall apple, all of them so worth the money. FYI the wallflowers are buy one get one free right now and the oils go fast during the season so get your stock pile like me.

The next thing I have done is baked Pumpkin chocolatle chip cookies. They are sooooo good. I look forward to them every year. I haven't made the pie yet but I have the stuff just waiting for the perfect day, like sunday then my family is usually around. Oh and the best part of the pumpkin cookies was I put two cookies, vanilla ice cream and milk in the blender and made a shake, I was hesitant at first then it was so delish I asked Frank if I could finish his. YUMMY!!
I have other things that I am looking forward to as well. Let me give you a list.
*Jeans, I love jeans and right now it is just too hot.
*Hoodies, Oh the comfort.
*Pajama pants, honestly I would were pajama pants and socks everywhere I went if it wasn't to ghetto.
*Brocolli cheese soup from Viors. It is the best, I think I eat there atleast twice a week when it's cold outside. Plus they have pepsi and I am a sucker for places that serve pepsi, what's up with everyone and their coke and generic Dr. Pepper.
*Decorating, I love to decorate for the seasons and it's all I can do to not put up my fall stuff right now.
*Hot home cooked meals, in the summer we eat a lot of easy stuff like sandwiches, barbecue, frozen food, yep I just admitted it, we eat frozen food. and pizza. I am so ready for Lasagna, chicken pot pie, crock pot, and chile. (okay I had that last week to)
*darkness, I love sunlight but I am ready for it to be dark in the morning until 8:00 and get dark again around 6:00. The days seem so quite to me when it is dark and gloomy. I need all the quiteness I can get.
*The colors of fall, I love the leaves and fall colors. When we lived in Salt Lake driving in the mountains and canyons was the best. Now I have to drive to far, but Brianna enjoys it for me.
I could probably keep going but those are the basics. So just know that when the weather starts to cool off and fall is in the air, I will be ready and prepared.

My own first comment. I just remembered a funny story. Last year Brianna was down and I brought home a Pumpkin spice cream frappuccino from work. They are so good, if you love pumpkin as much as Brianna and I you have to try one this year. Anyway Brianna was thoroughly enjoying hers when she said "I love pumpkin, if I could do one I would." I am laughing to myself right now and maybe you had to be there but it was hilar, and Brianna the time is coming again, so get ready!

Oh you little pumkin' eaters! I can see that story being hilarious...I am sure Bree was even conscious of what she was really saying.

Anywho I think you nailed the list. I am with you on fall, its my fav, so is pumkin stuff. The holidays bring me such happiness...well not as much since I live in the crack of the USA now, but I love this "coming" time of year. Thanks for the post.

I am with you. I love fall and I keep looking longingly at the fall decorations box in the garage. I actually walked by a friends house the other night who had a Halloween pumpkin out on her porch.....I could get away with some colored leaves, couldnt i? Well, its only 7:45 a.m. and already 98 degrees....guess not. Yum....soup, fall smells, good filling dinners (especially the chili,) and DARKNESS! I won't have to listen to my kids say, "But its not dark yet" when I put them to bed at 7:30. Heck, they will go at 5:30....its night time for all they know! WOO HOO! GREAT POST! (It is gonna cost Mike some money though cause I will HAVE to make a run to bath and body!)

I am so ready for the fall too! don't you worry I have the apple wallflower plugged in right now. But my absolute fav is the vanilla coconut I LOVE it!! it's actually starting to get cooler here so it will reach St. George in like a month or so....And this year I've been such a coar whore I can't stop buying them even though I can't wear them yet. It's going to happen soon though I feel it!!
