IDEAS???

I am on the look out for some new dinner ideas. Now that it is cooking season again for me I am realizing that everyday I don't know what to make for dinner. I am so sick of the same old recipes I use year after year. So the idea of this post is in hopes that everyone who looks at it whether you're a stalker or not will comment and then do a post on one of their favorite recipes for dinner. I love the sweets so if you want to do both that would be great but I am in need of dinners. So to start I am giving a soup recipe that my mom has made my whole life, definatly one of my favorites and since it is getting cold.

CANADIAN CHEESE SOUP

3 cups water
3 potatoes shredded
2 medium onions chopped
3 carrots shredded
3 celerys chopped
1 tsp. salt
3 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 cup milk
12 oz. velveeta cheese, cubed (amount depens on desirebility)
(my favorite part so I always add a lot) Also for you health lovers they make it more healthy now and you can't taste a difference.

combine water, potatoe, onion, carrot, celery, salt. Cover and cook until potatoes are tender. Stir in broth and milk. Heat throughly. Melt in cheese. May be thinned with broth if to thick.

I hope everyone trys and enjoys this soup it is so YUMMY!
I will be watching out for those recipes so get thinking!

What a great idea! Well here is my recipe.... it's just from kraft but it is seriously SOOO yummy! I hope you don't already have it.

Easy Parmesan Garlic Chicken:

* 1/2 C. Kraft Grated Parm. Cheese
*1 Envelope Good Seasons Italian Dressing Mix
*1/2 tsp. Garlic Powder
1-2 lbs. B.S. Chicken Breasts

***Mix Cheese, Garlic Powder, & Dressing Mix. Clean chicken and when still damp coat chicken with the above mixture. Place in a buttered baking dish. Cover with foil and bake at 375 for 30-40 mins. or until chicken is done.

Seriously this is so easy and good.
Also, Laurie set up a blog but it is private so if you want to give me your e-mail I can give it to her so they can send you an invite.

Marla,
I am just checking you out!!! What a good idea putting recipes on the blog. I am so bad at making dinner. Jason is never home. I need to be better. I do love to make desserts though. Your family is so cute. How do you get music on the blog? I love that. Aleisha

Hey Marla,

I got your note on my blog & you look so familiar but I could only find your small picture ... so I can't see you very well. Thanks for finding my random blog interesting ... I will be stalking yours now. I see we have a lot of the same friends. Here is my recipe ...

Ok this is seriously the best french toast ever! Better than anything you could buy in a restaurant…you just need to buy the right bread! We buy a great ranch style french bread, really thick. (from Harmons close to the bottom shelf) Great for dinner!

Homemade French Toast

3 eggs
½ cup milk
¾ cup pancake mix – mixed
2 tablespoons cinnamon
1 teaspoon nutmeg
1 tablespoon vanilla

Mix eggs, milk and vanilla together. In a separate bowl, combine pancake mix, cinnamon and nutmeg together with water until it is thick (three times as thick as you would normally make it). Combine all ingredients together in a bowl or container with a wide base. Mix ingredients with hand mixer or fork until evenly distributed. Batter should be thick like pancake batter. Coat the slices of bread and cook! Top with fresh strawberries and cream. Heaven at home!

That's awesome that you and Laurie are gonna hang out! I'm glad you 2 could get reconnected! There are 2 sites that I know of that you can get cute layouts but I can only remember 1 of them. It is http://matiekay.blogspot.com/ and it totally walks you through and explains everything. Totally easy! It will erase some things on your blog but it shouldn't erase links. It explains it all on the main page. If I remember the other one then I will let you know. Anyway- good luck and I can't wait to see a cute new page next time I check! If you have any problems then let me know!

Thanks Alli I am trying it so we will see.

Andrea, I have been meaning to update my blog for a long time I guess I can post pictures of my "new" handy minivan. YUCK! It is so much easier to just click around and by the time you read and leave comments you are out of time. Sorry I am a loser, update just for you coming up.
