I PIMPED MY RIDE AND A LITTLE HELPER

MY LITTLE HELPER
So last week I was in on the computer (like that's a surprise) and I could hear Frankie banging stuff around in the kitchen after a minute I started to wonder so when I peeked around the corner I found him helping me put the dishes away. So you see he is not ALWAYS naughty just most the time. He is such a sweet boy and loves to help. Thankfully the dishes were clean this time. And the bare butt because it is so much easier for him to remember to go on the potty without anything on so when it's just him and I hanging out at the house he streaks. What can I say it helps!

MY NEW PIMPED RIDE!
Some of you know and I am sure were dying to see it and the others of you are now jealous I am so sure.
I was granted with this lovely minivan to drive, a couple of weeks ago it just took me that long to post it. The horrible things is that it is a 97', not that it really matters but it kinda smells like it too. I have used a lot of lysol wipes, room sprays and a plug in oil burner so I think I almost have the stinky department taken care of. The next thing is that it makes a few weird noises, not explainable you will just have to get a ride to find out. Another problem is it only has one power outlet. Well you see I need three atleast! I am ghetto and don't have a built in movie player, a must with children, so I need one for that. My cell phone is a whole other post, let's just say it's not so wireless anymore, so I need one for that at almost all times. The radio only has a tape deck, haha it is that old. So I need a outlet for my ipod transmitter and last, which I think is four actually, my plug in oil burner so my car doesn't stink needs the same dang outlet. SO I am constantly changing my plugs around to suit my needs at that very moment. I do have an ideal though. I really am going to drive this van till it dies, which hopefully is later rather than sooner because of the postive things I have yet to discuss, so I might put just a little bit of money into it like an ipod ready stereo and a flip down dvd player. Then my friends I only need two outlets and they sell those in stores. That really is the only problems I have with the van.

No on to the bonuses and there are a few. To start I was driving my husbands "big red" truck and it was 1: hard to park 2: pretty much a workout everytime I went somewhere cause I had climb up into it to get Frankie in and then groceries, that was fun. 3: It was really expensive in gas especially when you drive as much as I do. So that brings us to the first plus on the new ride, GAS it is so much less and I go so much further and definate plus. The next good thing is the space, I love all the space I think a minivan with two kids is great that would suck if I had to have one then all the kids would take up all that useful space. I would have to move on to that bus like van. 4: the seperate seats. My kids don't know how to not bug eachother so sticking them both on their own seats is instant gratification and pleasure. 5: It is just far to convenient, the minivan really is a wonderful invention, two sliding doors, built in car seats ( they are from 97 I hope their still safe) and the room to take all my friends and there kids. SO no need to be jelous anymore if any of you are wanting a ride in the van it is my pleasure and I figure if I keep a good and humerous attitude it will pay off and I might get something I want in the end.

IDEAS???

I am on the look out for some new dinner ideas. Now that it is cooking season again for me I am realizing that everyday I don't know what to make for dinner. I am so sick of the same old recipes I use year after year. So the idea of this post is in hopes that everyone who looks at it whether you're a stalker or not will comment and then do a post on one of their favorite recipes for dinner. I love the sweets so if you want to do both that would be great but I am in need of dinners. So to start I am giving a soup recipe that my mom has made my whole life, definatly one of my favorites and since it is getting cold.

CANADIAN CHEESE SOUP

3 cups water
3 potatoes shredded
2 medium onions chopped
3 carrots shredded
3 celerys chopped
1 tsp. salt
3 cups chicken broth
1 1/2 cup milk
12 oz. velveeta cheese, cubed (amount depens on desirebility)
(my favorite part so I always add a lot) Also for you health lovers they make it more healthy now and you can't taste a difference.

combine water, potatoe, onion, carrot, celery, salt. Cover and cook until potatoes are tender. Stir in broth and milk. Heat throughly. Melt in cheese. May be thinned with broth if to thick.

I hope everyone trys and enjoys this soup it is so YUMMY!
I will be watching out for those recipes so get thinking!

BRING ON THE PUMPKIN

I have been ready for fall for a few weeks now and I will admit that I have jumped the gun a little bit and already done a few things. I guess in hope that Fall will arrive sooner. I started burning my pumpkin oil about two weeks ago, yep it sure was still August and over 100 degrees outside. I also have sweet cinnamon pumkin wallflowers in my outlets and a hobb;e creek pumpkin spice candle burning. If you haven't already tried bath and body works home scents they have two pumpkin flavors, just pumpkin which you see above and sweet cinnamon pumpkin. They are my Favs but they also have spiced cider, cinnamon vanilla, creamy nutmeg and a fall apple, all of them so worth the money. FYI the wallflowers are buy one get one free right now and the oils go fast during the season so get your stock pile like me.

The next thing I have done is baked Pumpkin chocolatle chip cookies. They are sooooo good. I look forward to them every year. I haven't made the pie yet but I have the stuff just waiting for the perfect day, like sunday then my family is usually around. Oh and the best part of the pumpkin cookies was I put two cookies, vanilla ice cream and milk in the blender and made a shake, I was hesitant at first then it was so delish I asked Frank if I could finish his. YUMMY!!
I have other things that I am looking forward to as well. Let me give you a list.
*Jeans, I love jeans and right now it is just too hot.
*Hoodies, Oh the comfort.
*Pajama pants, honestly I would were pajama pants and socks everywhere I went if it wasn't to ghetto.
*Brocolli cheese soup from Viors. It is the best, I think I eat there atleast twice a week when it's cold outside. Plus they have pepsi and I am a sucker for places that serve pepsi, what's up with everyone and their coke and generic Dr. Pepper.
*Decorating, I love to decorate for the seasons and it's all I can do to not put up my fall stuff right now.
*Hot home cooked meals, in the summer we eat a lot of easy stuff like sandwiches, barbecue, frozen food, yep I just admitted it, we eat frozen food. and pizza. I am so ready for Lasagna, chicken pot pie, crock pot, and chile. (okay I had that last week to)
*darkness, I love sunlight but I am ready for it to be dark in the morning until 8:00 and get dark again around 6:00. The days seem so quite to me when it is dark and gloomy. I need all the quiteness I can get.
*The colors of fall, I love the leaves and fall colors. When we lived in Salt Lake driving in the mountains and canyons was the best. Now I have to drive to far, but Brianna enjoys it for me.
I could probably keep going but those are the basics. So just know that when the weather starts to cool off and fall is in the air, I will be ready and prepared.

FINALLY!

Here is a picture of the project I just finished and Frank got hung up for me last night. Yes, for those of you who know, it did take me only about a year and four other pictures that I decided I didn't even like once they were done. Now that it is finished it was well worth the wait. Thanks to my mom, she painted the the entire middle row and I did the ones on the left and right, so basically I just wanted to show them off and see what everyone thought. They are in my hallway in an art niche, Oh it looks so much better filled than empty! YEAH!!!

JUST ONE OF THOSE DAYS...

So there is no real point to what I have started just need a little venting. So bear with me please! Also nothing too important so don't feel obligated to read.

For some reason I am just feeling very anxious and uptight today (my husband has been telling me that I have been uptight for around 3 days but what does he really know anyway). It's not that time of the month and school started so what is really the problem. I know one thing for sure. I watched my friends 2 boys today so she could go to an appointment in Vegas. They are adorable and Frankie has a blast with them, but I ran a few errands and listened to them whine and scream for too many hours. You can imagine twice the noise as I already have, any how. She dropped them off at 8:30 this morning, around 12:15 I get a phone call thinking she was done and telling me she was on her way home. I knew she still had the drive but at least end was in sight. Well she was in deed on her way but... She never even went to Vegas, yep 4 hours later. I am sorry but that really really bugged me. Probably because so much is bugging me right now anyway. Here are a few other things that come mind

I am in well need of a vacation. Either by myself with friends or with my husband I wouldn't complain about any of those.

It's almost my birthday and I am afraid to say that I am going to be 29

My son, that could be a whole other post in it's self. But the things that are really agitating lately are, he sleeps in my bed. I know you can all say it is my own fault and I take more than enough blame for that, but I am sick of it. I hate having to get creative to spend some "quality time" with my husband. He works until dark anyway so it truly is the only time I see him. More than half the time we fall asleep before him anyway. UGH! Plus Frankie is SO LOUD. I don't think I can hear one more loud scream or whine out of him.

I am really sick of the heat. I am so ready for fall and winter.

Okay so I may be ready for winter but I am not ready for this. Frankie turns three in 2 months and Christmas is in almost 4. Sorry to stop your hearts for that brief second. It scares me. Why does it have to be so expensive that is my only question? I love it and I love it when it's over but it sure causes stress every minute in between.

My daughter. I swear all I ever hear from her is arguing with Frankie, begging to go play or use the phone, whining and complaining. ie. I am hungry, when are we going to eat, my toe, arm, finger, nose, head, freaking I think everything on her body hurts. Why?

Cooking dinner. I like to cook but it is really hard to cook when your husband isn't home for dinner and you are only cooking for yourself and two kids. Seriously how much food can I really waste. Hate to admit it but we really dislike left overs. But I am so sick of frozen easy dinners and I am really bad at cooking the correct amount of portions so there are no left overs.

Potty training...nuff said

Wow I just read through my post and I can't imagine why my kids complain so much. ha ha I am such a great example, thanks for listening and letting me vent. I shall not be depressing to you any more.

Bye for now. (comments and advice still please!) I need them.

How old were you?

So today I experienced another joy of parenting, one that I thought would be in at least 3 years from now. For those of you who don't know my daughter I will start out by telling you that she is rather smart and very sneaking and mischievous. Yes, she has been since she was born. For example; when she went to day care around the age of two it was picture time and hot outside, she really wanted to wear her black long sleeved velvet dress and I said no. I had a cute outfit put together for her and she wore that to school. I let her take her dress to school because she was being picked up by her dad to go to his house for the week and she wanted to wear it, that made her very happy. Well a few weeks later her school pictures came home and they were very cute except for the long sleeved black velvet dress with a spring back ground, her purple underneath and a really sneaky smile on her face. She told her teacher that she was suppose to change and wear that for pictures, so she got her way after all. I totally took that dress away. Anyway back to my story of today. Makaela walks the .2 miles from my house to school along the way she picks up her friends. Today her one friend was riding a bike and she was riding her scooter, well the bike goes faster than her and she does not like that at all. So she left to find different friend to walk with. (This new friend being Dixie) About 10 o'clock this morning I looked at my caller ID and noticed a missed call from the Elementary school. I contemplated calling them back for a minute and it just kept bothering me because either she had a problem, but why didn't she call my cell phone, or she didn't make it to school. I know most of you don't have kids old enough so just so you know the schools call automatically at a mark absent. I called the school and the secretary asked who my daughter was. Here is what she said. " Oh Makaela. You know what happened is her and her little friend Dixie decided to hide out in Dixie's closet and not go to school today. When her mom got out of the shower she found them hiding in there eating their lunches." WHAT THE HELL! That is about the only thing that came to my mind, I kindly told the lady thank you and hung up the phone, pretty much with tears welling up in my eyes. Seriously, how do kids at the age of 8 know those kinds of tricks? Am I just blind to how much they know and learn at there age or is she a genius? I bet she was hungry come lunch time though. So now that I have spilled the beans on my naughty girl I just wanted everyones thoughts, not that I will let her know but I get a good laugh at it to. Now that I have collected my temper. So fess up and tell me at what age did you first ditch school, or try to ditch school in her case! I swear the generations are getting smarter and more advanced as we speak so watch out to those of you who are just beginning, or not even beginning yet (Brianna). Punishment is sure to arrive when she gets home from school at approximately 3:45.
